Our vice-chair, Alan Davidson, passed away last week. This has come as a great surprise and shock to us and we, the officers of the St Leonards Ward Safer Neighbourhoods Panel extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to his family and friends.

Alan was a superb vice-chair and officer of our panel and brought much to the running of the panel and our meetings. He was also a former chair of governors at Woodmansterne Primary School here in Streatham, and was still a governor at the time of his passing. He was very involved in local civic society and local politics and was well known as someone who cared deeply for the area and was committed to making this a better and nicer place to live.

We will honour his memory at our next meeting and we shall miss him! Rest in peace, Alan.
