The St Leonards Safer Neighbourhoods Ward has again set the standard by going live with what is believed to be the first Safer Neighbourhoods Team podcasts in the country! I was able to record Streatham police Superintendent Jonathan Tottman delivering two separate podcasts this afternoon. Both of these, and all future podcasts, can be downloaded from the podcast page where we will be uploading new podcasts on a weekly basis.
The first is about Safer Neighbourhoods 6 months on, how things have developed and his vision for what can be accomplished with a call for feedback on how the community perceives the work of the SNT. This podcast can be downloaded directly by clicking here.
The second podcast is the first of a weekly series covering local issues of the moment. In this first podcast Superintendent Tottman speaks about the nuisance and danger of people, particularly children, lighting off fireworks and what the SNT and undercover police are doing about this. This podcast can be downloaded by clicking here.
We would like to hear from the community on these downloads. What would you like to hear about? what questions should I be asking when I interview Superintendent Tottman, the Safer Neighbourhoods Team members or others we speak to? Shall we include podcasts in Polish, Somali or other local languages? If you have a question, or just want to have your say, contact us here.
