As discussed at last nights SNT meeting (18-10-06) I have certian monies available to me for improving crime aspects of Streatham through my community safety funding. Each year i am allocated money for revenue and capital programmes. As part of this years progamme i would like to pilot the use of my money to help address priorites within SNT panels. There is approximately £3k available for capital works accross all four wards. How this money is used is tbc.

However, if all four wards wanted to do their own thing an allocation of only £750 would be available per ward. My preference is that the money be split two ways or not at all. This would give us more money to address a certain issue. Capital money, in its most basic form, is used for something that will remain in place. This year i am funding or helping to fund security gates, site line improvements in parks and greenspaces, security memo cams for repeat victims of crime. The money needs to be spent to address a priority and whilst not wanting to lead you on your thoughts all four wards have cycling on the pavement as a priroity and this may be worth looking into.

Timewise id like to have the project confirmed by mid December at the absolute latest as i want the money spent by January.

Any suggestions, comments, concerns etc please let the chair or myself know so that i can work out how this project will work.
