Firstly, am I right in thinking there is a Ward meeting on 18th September and 18th October. Please can you tell me the venue?
ongoing problems. Had an incident where a builder from the site opposite synagogue in Prentis Road, refused to move from the steps where he and two female street drinkers were seated and blocking entry and exit. Briefly, he went into a fury of rage and language and curses and when I finally closed the door he tried to kick the door in. To end the saga which goes on a bit, the police called on the works manager and the man was fired. However, drinkers are still here in the day and at night leaving cans and bottles and food rubbish and urinating on the side of the building. We here have investigated the costs of fencing or railings and it is an expensive quote but we will consider it within our budget at the next meeting of the synagogue council early September.
Environmental Health have been here and cleared up a lot of the debris and fly tipping but it is never ending and quite depressing. End of miserable news - Ruth Edwards
