This seems like a good spot to post my experince of the Stretaham police Station, which I understand to be many years old. Whenever I have had something to report, (my scooter was stolen recently, which I found dumped on a nearby estate with witnesses) it appears that there is an incredibly long wait at the local police station. To compound matters further, it would appear that no one answers the phone either.

What makes matters worse, is that there are few staff on the front desk, and those that are there seem seriously over worked.

Unless someone is killed, it appears that they have little or no interest in investigating the crime either.

My fear is that because of these factors, many serious crimes simply go un reported.

I would ask then, are there any plans to:

1. Reduce the amount of time it takes for a crime to be reported in person or by phone
2. Follow up on crimes reported even if they appear minot offences, such as theft and burgulary
3. Improve the current state of the Police Station in Streatham
