We've been working on getting to a nice site design that is worthy of our efforts so a bit of work has been being done over the past few days. Sorry if the site has looked completely different from one visit to the next. I believe we're just about there.
What would be really nice is for folks who have pictures of Streatham, or graphical talents to make these look great, to contribute these to the site. We would certainly be happy to attribute anything this to the whoever contributed.
As a bit of update, the site now has a news function, in the form of these blogs, and will soon feature a discussion forum where community members will be able to discuss community issues right here with each other from the comfort of their favourite armchair in their jim-jams. We will also have an events function installed, to provide a searchable events calendar for the public to stay abreast of where and when we will be meeting as well as listing related events across the area.
Other things to come are surveys we can run off of the site here, researching issues for the community, as well as site polls to roughly gauge opinion on specific issues. Lastly (well, before the next meeting, that is...) I hope to have constructed a newsletter template to use to mail out newsletters every so often on a regular basis.
These are some current ideas based upon what our software is capable of at the moment. Please do click that "Add Comment" link at the bottom and feel free to add more suggestions on what this site could do for you. We're always interested in more "It would be nice if it could..." suggestions. They are often amazing ideas! Go on, you know you want to...
