A new anti-social behaviour reporting hotline has been launched by the community safety team, which gives the public an easy way to report concerns about anti-social behaviour in their area. The number is 020 7926 4000. In the past callers reporting anti-social behaviour usually had to contact different teams within the council to if there were various issues that made up their problem. The noise team would have to be phoned to complain about noisy parties; Community Safety if there were other issues. Now callers can speak to one person.
The Contact Centre will enter the information into a case management system and officers from housing, the anti-social behaviour team or Community Safety, etc, will be alerted to decide if appropriate action is required from their team. Callers will also be advised on the phone about possible actions that can be taken.
The council is also preparing a webform for the council website where residents can send an e-mail with ASB complaints, and even do this anonymously. We will link to it from this page as soon as it's ready.
