The Police have issued a statement on the double stabbing that occurred on Tuesday in West Norwood:
Officers investigating the double murder of two men at an address in West Norwood have arrested a man. The 29-year-old man was arrested at an address in south London yesterday evening (21 October) and remains in custody at a south London police station.
The bodies of two men, believed to be aged approximately 60, were found at the flat. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. This is being treated as a double murder inquiry.
Officers from the Homicide & Serious Crime Command are investigating. Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
DCI Damian Allain, who is leading the inquiry said: "This is a quiet area and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything out of the ordinary in the last couple of days.
"I would like to reassure the local community we are doing all we can to solve this crime.
