How to report anti-social behaviour in Streatham

A new anti-social behaviour reporting hotline has been launched by the community safety team, which gives the public an easy way to report concerns about anti-social behaviour in their area. The number is 020 7926 4000. In the past callers reporting anti-social behaviour usually had to contact different teams within the council to if there were various issues that made up their problem. We hear very often complaints that folk call the police to deal with a noisy party or neighbour and that the police don't do anything about it. There's a good reason for that - in Lambeth, it's normally not a police matter: the council have a department that deals specifically with noise issues and they are the ones to call in the first instance. Khat Culture and Anti-social Behaviour on Gleneagle Road

This has been an ongoing saga since 2001 the Somali presence have organised themselves on Gleneagle Road. Since then there have been complaints of anti-social behaviour, illegally parked in the red routes and double parked. The loud, noisy and intimidating presence of large groups of men on the pavement outside the cafe's are a particular nuisance. The clearly visible open sale and widespread use of Khat has a negative impact to the groups behaviour. Read more...
